This is my new horse Doc. He is a great trail horse. Goes through anything. Isn't a beginner horse, he has a ton of go and a HUGE stride but he is fun to ride! He is APHA registered gelding (although the papers say Stallion, he is not). He's 9. The only spook he has shown is a air brakes of an 18 wheeler right on his butt. We have ventured across water, over bridges, up and down hills, had dogs and farm animals come running out at us, had cars and pick up trucks pass, even other 18 wheelers. He is a little reactive to other horses but calms as soon as you let him know it's ok.

Update 10/3 Doc spent 90 days with my trainer and he now knows what a lope is and will lower his head when asked. We aren't quite ready for the show ring yet but we are getting there!!! I don't have alot of time to spend with him unfortunately and I have put him up for sale. I won't back down from his $3500 price however, as I am in no rush to sell him. I really do love him and just want what is best for him

This is Adam and Slo Go Secret (aka: Cheyenne). When we got Cheyenne, she would circle when you went to mount her, would buck when you got on her and was a psycho under saddle for the first 30 or more minutes, then she would quiet some. She was apprehensive about EVERYTHING! Adam worked on the ground with her for 60 days and we decided to try a little halter showing. Both horse and rider entered their first show in July 2006. They won first in their Open Halter Class (mares 3 and over stock/hunter),  got second in the Championship Halter Class(winners of all halter classes) and Reserve Halter Champion over all their first time out! 

Update May 20,2008: Adam and Cheyenne have changed show circuits and are currently showing Halter and under saddle at Thunderhorse Farms Show Circuit. In three shows they have won Grand Champion Halter twice and a Reserve Champion once (this puts them in first for Mares, Halter). They are also third in Novice Pleasure, Second in Novice Equitation, and fourth in Walk/Trot 18 and under so far in season points.

Update November 2,2008: The points are in for end of year! Even though they missed two shows (one double points) Adam and Slo Go Secret did well! 

Champion in Mares Halter, 5th in Model Hunter, 5th Open Showmanship, 4th in Novice Pleasure, 2nd Novice Equitation, and 4th 18 and Under

Adam taught Cheyenne how to lope this weekend! She has a beautiful lope and a prancy little trot that calls attention in the ring.

Boy have they come a long way! I couldn't be a prouder Momma!

Update Oct.2009: You aren't going to believe this but Adam and Cheye are cleaning up in working western classes and they are running speed events! Who would have thought that this halter mare would be so versatile!!

Updated 11/1/2008: Zip is a 8 y/o APHA gelding we acquired in March 2007 at the Great Trail Horse Auction in Lexington, VA. Zip was initially trained by Erin Erickson of Rockin' E Ranch in Warrenton, NC. Alexis and Zip showed last year at East Coast Show Circuit and this year are showing at Thunderhorse Farms Show Circuit. They are currently in training wtih Lauren Maddox. Alexis and Zip took Grand Champion Junior Division twice and Western horse twice during this season!

Update 2009: Zip and Lex went Hunter Jumper for a while and did well but they are back in Western Pleasure and placing really well. We aren't showing alot this year but next year we hope to take him in breed.

This horse is NOT for sale!

 Bought at auction to save her from a "not so nice" horse trader, we  researched her past, and found that she has been trained for the track, but never been competetively run. Dancer had major issues when we got her. She hated needles (wonder why?). She is the first to come to you in the field and drop her head for scratches and has learned to tolerate needles. She has been resigned to being a pasture pal as she is having leg problems after being ridden (they are not apparent when not being ridden).  Distinctive (Secretariat's father) is on her papers!  Dancer beats all of our other horses when they are galloping across the fields! Hands down she is the quickest horse I have. She is the dam of Distinctive By Design seen on his own page.  Her lineage below:

Update October 2009: Dancer is currently turned out on a farm with 75 acres living the carefree life of a horse. She looks wonderful with her shiny coat and long slim lines. She won't be bred again until the market comes out of it's slump. Her current Colt, Dez is for sale and even at $2500 he isn't getting any inquiries and he is well on his way into training for his age. He is going to be easy to saddle train and has a good head on his shoulders. He has an awesome temperament and is very correct and flashy!!!
